Blurb
Not so predictably, Ryan asks him to be a mentor and show him how to fence. Startled by the moment of humility, Misha agrees.
What begins as fencing lessons becomes something much hotter, and before they know it, Misha is giving Ryan an entirely different kind of education. Dominance, submission, pain, pleasure-at the hands of an older, experienced man, a whole new world is opening up for Ryan.
As the trust deepens and their bond strengthens, though, Ryan retreats because that sham called love left him jaded long ago. Cynical beyond his years, he's not letting his guard down, least of all for a thrice-divorced man twice his age.
Now Misha has to find a way to crack through those defenses...or accept defeat and walk away from the submissive who might just be the love of his life.
My Two Pennies Worth
The Master Will Appear is a delicious May to December romance with strong BDSM themes. Okay, when I say strong I'm sure BDSM experts will disagree with me. But BDSM plays a major part in the story and SM, flogging, spanking and nipple clamps all play a part (as well as the sweetest and most gentle orgy I have ever read). But this story isn't all about the BDSM, if it was I wouldn't have been compelled to read it, because TBH BDSM isn't my kink. This story is about the characters, the perfectly broken characters who are so much better together, as fencer and coach, sub and dom, friends with benefits, and whether they want to accept it or not, as a couple.
The sexual chemistry sizzles in every word. From the moment they first meet, when they don't actually like each other, they strike sparks off each other. And as their relationship develops, the chemistry only gets stronger.
I loved Misha, the dom and fencing master but it was Ryan who stole my heart. He was so jaded for one so young. Hardly surprising when his family was so toxic, and every time that phone rang my heart broke a little bit more and I willed him to tell them where to stick their passive aggressive manipulation.
This was the first book I've listened to by narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo. I'll certainly add him to my list of narrator's that I enjoy listening too. (This is important, there are many books I want on audio, but I won't buy because I don't like the narrator.) He does a great job with Misha's accent and, even though there aren't many female characters, he does the female characters justice too. The difference between Misha and Ryan's ages is also distinct in the narration.

About The Author
L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer who has finally been released from the purgatorial corn maze of Omaha, Nebraska, and now spends her time on the southwestern coast of Spain. In between wondering how she didn’t lose her mind in Omaha, she explores the country with her husband, several clairvoyant hamsters, and an ever-growing herd of rabid plot bunnies. She also has substantially more time on her hands these days, as she has recruited a small army of mercenaries to search South America for her nemesis, romance author Lauren Gallagher, but don’t tell Lauren. And definitely don’t tell Lori A. Witt or Ann Gallagher. Neither of those twits can keep their mouths shut…
