Blurb
Adrian has been as unlucky in love as his sister, but he doesn’t approve of hiring a boyfriend, whatever the reason. Until he meets Darcy. Then he comes to realize that love can happen in the most unexpected of ways.
One week. That is all the two men needed to fall in lust, but will they have a lifetime to fall in love?
My Two Pennies Worth
First off--and I'm writing this before I even crack open the book--this cover is gorgeous. Meredith Russell does a gorgeous job, as well.
Darcy is a contemporary fake boyfriends story with a difference. The fake boyfriend, Darcy, is employed by Abby to attend a family wedding, but from the first moment he meets Abby's brother, Adrian, there are sparks.
This is a quick read (took me about two hours). There is little to no angst because Adrian knows about Darcy being the fake boyfriend, so there is no need for misunderstandings about forbidden attraction. This story is more about biding your time until the situation is right, and fighting your insecurities.
The family dynamic in this story is really strong. Abby and Adrian are close and loving siblings that embrace each others differences. The extended family and details of the big society wedding are entertaining and add an extra layer to this story.
There's a lovely epilogue with this one too.
If you're looking for a light and fluffy read, this one hits the spot.
